The European Commission has introduced regulation (EU) 2025/1732, imposing anti-dumping duties
of up to 70.9% on candles of Chinese origin. These charges are already being enforced at customs and will apply until at least February 2026, when the Commission will review a possible five-year extension.
They confirmed they will be extending the anti-dumping tariff; EU-based suppliers which import candles from China but are now subject to a 60.3% rather than the original 70.9% surcharge for the next five years.
